Also on my pull list: Black Widow, Avengers, ElfQuest: The Final Quest, Ms. Marvel (yay, Kamala Kahn!), Sex Criminals, The Wicked and the Divine, and Pretty Deadly. Classic faves include Uncanny X-Men, Excalibur, Amethyst, Ambush Bug, and the New Mutants. Favorite artists include Jim Cheung, Joe Madureira (duh), Skottie Young, Phil Noto, and the ever-amazing Alan Davis.
» Pet(s): I own one cat right now, a tabby named Aidan.
» Dislikes: People who can't take a hint, horror movies, clashing colors, beer, non-fiction, televised sports, unruly/loud/obnoxious neighbors, twinks, stress, fandom kooks, new age flakes, screaming children, snakes, bugs, spiders, rules lawyers, anyone who takes everything too seriously, MRAs, narrowminded fundies.
» Work: Since 1998, I have been employed at the IRS as a tax examiner; I am living proof that the government is not made up of blood-sucking, soulless monsters. Although the night shift unit does come close sometimes. I occasionally instruct classes there as well and have been a lead from time to time.
» Where I Can Be Found: When not at work, I'm more than likely at home, painting miniatures or custom My Little Ponies, knitting, doing some crosswords, making jewelry with my mom, playing a video game (either on the PlayStation or on the computer; Katamari Damacy is a recurring favorite and I just started Skyrim and have rejoined World of Warcraft), or working on my current website/obsession. I don't go out too much lately, but I love Outback Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, and Chipotle. I'm also sometimes found in Akron, visiting my best friend, and even more rarely in New York to see Broadway shows.
» Random Weirdness: My last name is now a domain name. The company in question is Thalner Electronic Labs, formerly run and originally founded by my grandfather; it weirds me out nonetheless. Why couldn't they have registered TEL or somesuch?
» And in case you were wondering: Jazmer is the name of one of my most treasured roleplaying characters. I chose the domain name because she means a lot to me. There is also a band named Jazmer, and I apologize to them for getting the domain first.
