Edinburgh: Tuesday

On Tuesday, we decided to relax and take it easy. We wandered around a little of our section of the Royal Mile, starting off with a quick picture of the garden behind our flat, and the view down the close. Which is Salisbury Craigs, no big deal.

Various sights as we walked down Canongate.

Our flat, at Bull's Close. We were on the ground floor, right next to the Unknown Pleasures record shop.

We walked up to the World's End for dinner (after realizing that our first dinner choice was way too far up the Royal Mile and neither of us had cash for a cab). The bar was covered in money from all over the world, and dinner was delicious. I had potato soup with onions, venison sausage and mash, and a delicious sticky toffee pudding. Also fun was the Italian group on one side of us helping translate for an Italian gentleman on our other side.

On the way back down the hill, I saw a shop named for a good friend of mine, and got a nicely dramatic view of Canongate Kirk.
