The Staff
(or, Who's In Charge Here, Anyway?)

The Menagerie is filled with a capable crew who will be more than happy to assist you in having a good time -- or in tossing you out if you cause trouble. Play nice!

The Manager: Doyle

Alan Francis Doyle hails from the green island of Eire -- Ireland, to be specific. A half-demon on his father's side, Doyle is the soul of... er... well, he's a character. With his knowledge of fine and not-so-fine liquor, he was a natural choice for the job of managing the Menagerie... even if his pay often ends up contributing to the profits of the local track.

The Hostess: Cordelia Chase

Cordelia Chase is, naturally, just working this job until she becomes a real star and can pretend she never knew any of these people. In the meantime, the tact-free, bold, and forthright young woman from Sunnydale, CA spends her time delegating her responsibilities to her followers, commonly known as the Cordettes. Cordelia really is a good person; her better qualities just tend to be a bit... hard to find.

The Bartenders: Xander and Drusilla

Xander Harris, having proven his abilities to sling brew and console lonely drinkers in Buffy's fourth season, tends bar with the aid of the waifish, mad vampire Drusilla. It's an interesting team-up at best; Xander may be a wimp, but his rare moments of insight and his strength of character make up for his lack of fighting skills. Drusilla, on the other hand, is just insane. Thankfully, she's toned down her act for her clientele, but she still has her moments.

The Bouncers: Kendra and Faith

Since the clientele of the Menagerie tends to be present around the clock, two bouncers patrol its doors: Kendra on day shift and Faith on nights. Kendra, a young woman of Jamaican origin who died at Drusilla's hands in Buffy's second season, devoted her entire life to being a Slayer. Faith, on the other hand, is "five by five and livin' large": having grown up in a rough childhood in Boston, she gets what she wants in a simple philosophy of "Want. Take. Have." As different and night and day, Faith and Kendra are often at odds and can provide as much entertainment as whichever band the Bronze Menagerie happens to be hosting.
